Frequently Asked
What's the difference between a logo and branding identity?
A logo is just an image to visually represent your brand. It can be as simple as a wordmark (e.g. Google), a pictorial mark (e.g. Apple), an abstract mark (e.g. Pepsi) or a combination of the above, to name a few of the most common types.
A logo alone cannot establish your brand identity – a detailed style guide is essential! A brand style guide (also known as a brand book or brand guide) is key to ensure any future content (such as email newsletters, social media ads, website, presentations etc.) follow the same consistent style that represents your brand.
Our branding guidelines offer can include the colour palette, typography, compositions and any other graphic element supporting the brand.
What's the difference between a logo design for £50 vs £500?
Creating a logo isn’t as simple as taking a shape and turning it into a symbol that supposedly represents your brand.
A logo is the first impression a user will get from your brand. Good logos convey the way your brand feels, the message you want to send, the general mood, and this can have a direct impact on your sales and public image.
Creating a logo that leaves a good impression takes time. Time to thoroughly research your industry, your client demographics, your products and services – all this influences the final result. An experienced designer can convey all this information through careful choice of colour, typography and composition.
For £50 you’re paying for approximately one hour of a designers time. In one hour you can expect something pretty generic, not very unique and not at all tailored to your brand – one hour simply isn’t enough time to do the necessary research.
It all comes down to your priorities – if having a professional, memorable logo that thoroughly represents your brand is important to you, and you’re not interested in getting dozens of concepts that are more generic, then our logo offer may be for you!
What are your payment terms?
Certainly! From the moment you make the payment all rights to all concepts and variations developed during your project, including the final designs pass to you. We do however reserve the right (unless discussed otherwise in advance) to present the work done for you as part of our portfolio. Finally, upon completion you are also provided with the source file for the design, which can then be passed on to other designers or companies (such as a printing company) for their use.
